Automatic spraying system for mixed production
In the "8 Axis Universal Handling Automat" application, different types of products are automatically treated (sprayed) with solvents according to process specifications.
The products are fed to the machine via a conveyor belt in combined operation. There, they are identified by their barcode and weighed. The weight (quality characteristic) is saved in a database with the barcode. Based on the barcode, the manufacturing parameters are read from a SQL database and the 8 axes are positioned so that an optimal spray pattern is ensured.
Work process:
- Transport and identification of the product (barcode)
- Weighing the product and sending the weight to the QM database
- Reading the manufacturing parameters from the manufacturing database
- Positioning the 8 axes according to the manufacturing parameters
- Spraying the product

- Linked to 3 databases (manufacturing database ERP, recipe database with manufacturing parameter, quality database)

The applications involve examples which demonstrate the possibilities of a PLC/SQL database. It is always possible to modify solutions.
