High-speed test stand for car tires (retrofit)

A new controller (Siemens Simatic S7) in connection with data logging was superimposed onto the customer's existing high velocity dynamometer (up to 400km/h) for car tyres. In this process, different inspection orders are read from the ERP system and deposited in a separate database. From there, the inspection orders can be uploaded to the controller and processed.

While the inspection is running, the current process values (velocity, temperature, tyre pressure, circumferential speed, etc.) in connection with the order number are written into a database. When the inspection is cancelled or finished successfully, the calculated results are written back into the existing ERP and the order status is set.

Operation procedure:

  • Cyclical reading and recording of open inspection orders from ERP
  • Choose inspection order and mount the fitting test unit (set-up).
  • Start inspection order
  • Write inspection result into ERP and set inspection status
