Spray solutions for higher tyre quality
In complex tire manufacturing, the application of a release agent inside tire blanks is an important process step that can significantly increase the sliding properties and service life of the bladder in the vulcanization press. The SAR has performed this task in numerous plants. The SQL4automation Connector is used to connect the control systems with the databases.
The tyre inner spray solutions provide the necessary lubricity to release the tyre from the bladder, which is used to press the blank into the tread pattern under high pressure and temperature. This has a positive effect on the appearance, quality and also on the service life of the tyre and the bladder.
For this reason, the application of the spray solution represents an important step in the complex tire manufacturing process. In many projects of tire manufacturers SQL4automation software is used as an interface to the database management.
Reliably connecting controllers with SQL databases
A spraying recipe is stored in a database for each tyre type, because each tyre type requires a certain amount of release agent. After spraying, the information about the order is written back into the database, so it is easy to trace back for quality purposes.
As a solution for the direct connection between the different PLC systems and the databases, the experts from SAR decided to use the SQL4automation Connector from Inasoft, after having informed themselves on the market. The PLCs can query data from tables, insert it into tables, modify and delete it with SQL commands. Furthermore, procedures can be executed from databases.
An OPC server is not required. This improves performance, increases safety and makes the system more flexible.
