How is the Connector licensed?

Hardware license (USB dongle)

After you have ordered your license (Light, Standard, Ultimate) you receive the invoice from us. After successful payment we send you a hardware key with the license (USB dongle) by mail. The Connector runs without any restrictions once the hardware key is plugged in. Even after the replacement of the hardware you can easily continue using the license on the USB dongle. This is why we recommend the hardware license.

Software license

In the menu of the Config-Tool you find the entry "Get Hardware Fingerprint" in the section "License". You can generate a Request-Key-File (.csv) which you need to email to info@sql4automation.com, together with the information which license you need (Light, Standard, Ultimate). You then receive the invoice from us and after the successful payment we send you a License-Key-File (*.v2c). This needs to be activated in the menu "License" by "Insert License Key". Once this is done the Connector is running without restrictions. After the replacement of hardware the software license could possibly stop working..
